
Location
Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace (RQF)
This half day MHFA training is a basic introduction to mental health, and why it is important. It introduces some common mental health challenges and discusses how to spot them. During this four-hour course you will learn how to talk to someone who may be experiencing mental ill health and feel more confident speaking about mental health with colleagues, friends or family.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)/Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 4. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement
Pre-Requisites
Be 14 years of age or older
A range of subjects are covered including:
- What is First Aid for Mental Health?
- Identifying mental health conditions
- Providing advice and starting a conversation
Assessment Criteria
The qualification is assessed through a multiple-choice question paper. A Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. No external assessors are required.
At the giving circumstances we run only virtual mental health first aid training via Zoom.
